Wedding Cake Beads Look Beautiful on an Elegant Cake

The use of wedding cake beads is a simple way to really dress up your cake. They must be put on the cake within minutes of being frosted, before the frosting sets up, or they won't stay on. If the frosting gets even slightly hard, there's nothing for them to stick to.

They are available in many sizes and colors. The most popular sizes are 4mm and 6mm. The most popular color is white or irredescent. You can also get them in silver, gold, red, black, etc. This is a good way to bring some color into your cake.

They are strung together on a string. When put onto a cake, they should reach around the entire tier as one continuous string. You should never use several short strings in a row on the cake. Before cutting the cake, all you should have to do is pull on the string and they should all pull off at once. If you used several smaller pieces, there is always the chance some might get left on and someone could choke on them.

They can be used to make scallops, hearts or almost any design you want. It helps to mark the design on the cake first before putting them on. This way you get a uniform design. You can also lay them in various ways around the bottom of the cake for a very unique effect.
